
16. Charity Vienna Ball in Moscow
The Charity Vienna Ball in Moscow is one of the most expected and significant events in the world’s ballroom calendar. Every year it attracts about two thousand guests from different cities and countries, a great meeting place for the lovers of ballroom dancing.
This year it is the Sixteenth Charity Vienna Ball in Moscow. On May, 26th Gostiny Dvor, the largest Moscow hall offered its floor to hundreds dancing couples. The most remarkable decoration of the hall were two huge paintings of the world famous artist Misha Lenn, immediately striking everyone coming by its flawless beauty. Welcoming music of “Instrumental Capella”orchestra! And the first guests arriving!
Traditionally the ball is opened by debutants. To participate in the ball as a debutant a young lady of 16 – 23 years old and a young gentleman of 18 – 28 years old should be both unmarried. It is such a great opportunity for the young to become acquainted with the classical culture, learn to dance and meet new interesting people.




The Vienna Ball in Moscow is a charity event. This year the beneficiary of the ball is the foundation “Culture for Children”. The Sixteenth Vienna Ball in Moscow was hosted by the President of the Russian Dance Union, Stanislav Popov and Russian ballerina, People’s Artist of Russia, Ilze Liepa.
